Problematic Social Workers
We rely on Social Workers to protect the vulnerable but we really should remember that they are only human and are fallible. It often seems to me that people who take on caring roles in society can sometimes be some of the most vulnerable and most fallible and social workers are no exeption. In fact, in my own experience social workers seem to be a problem in particular. 
Perhaps it is the combination of caring and power that make the dangerous cocktail but many that I have met seem to have deep emotional problems themselves that they relieve by abusing those in their care. I have been terrified of two that were assigned to me and unable to unattach myself from them for fear of the power they held over me.
